Jim Tarver (1885-1958)br> The Texas Giant Tarver ended up reaching a height of eight feet, four inches, and weighing a total of 435 pounds. He exhibited himself with several different shows between 1909-1935. He married several times, and eventually retired from the sideshow, and started a farm. This is a Giant Ring. Many of the sideshow giants would sell these as pitch items.
