Grace McDaniels (1888-1958) The Mule Faced Woman Cursed with progressive tumors on her face and lips McDaniels was billed as the Ugliest Woman in the World. Despite her appearance she was however a very generous and kind woman. After a night with an intoxicated show worker she had her son Elmer (also pictured above). Although he looked after his mother he was a mean drunk who treated her awful and spent all of her money. Grace passed away in 1958 and Elmer just six months later.
