Kitty Smith (1914-1982) Armless Wonder Born normal, Smith had an alcoholic father. As a child she drank some of her father's liquor and passed out on a stove. Her arms had to be amputated. One of the more sad tales here on this page. Despite her handicap she had beatiful penmanship. She also was able to draw and sew.
