Happy Jack Eckhardt (1874-1937) World Prize Fat Man Eckert's life in the sideshow began at the age of ten. (He was billed as a fat boy weighing in at 265 pounds) He spent fifty years in the industry weighing as much as 739 pounds. You would think that a man of his girth would be plagued with heart disease and health problems, but Eckardt lived till the age of 63, when he died in a car wreck.
