Grady Stiles (1937- 1992) The Lobster Boy The Lobster Boy is, in my opinion, one of the most recognizeable sideshow attractions. He was born with a hereditary condition known as ectrodactyly that caused his fingers and toes to fuse together. Stiles was a big drinker, and subsoquently often beat his wife. In 1978 when his daughter Donna attempted to elope with her boyfriend, Stiles shot and killed him. The Lobster Boy never saw a day in prison, for the courts ruled that the prison had no handicapped access, and his jail sentence might be considered cruel and unusual. He was released on probation. Years later in 1992 Stile's wife, sick of the abuse, had her son hire a neighbor to end the Lobster Boy's life. Grady Stiles was shot and killed on November 29, 1992.
