When I was three I destroyed my mothers garden. I spent the better part of a half hour in my backyard removing the heads from every last flower and carefully placing them into our little plastic pool. When I was finished I went inside to invite my mother to my first unveiling. " Look mom!! Pretty!"
Pretty much twenty years later I was a senior at Massart and completing my degree project. My theme was "The Evils of the Educational System", and for the end of the project we had to compile a book chronicling all of the work that we had done. My big idea was to put the book inside of a hollowed out composition note-book (you know, those black and white spotty ones.) On every page I had cut up all of my old report cards, homework assignments, and notes from teachers and collaged them together. My mom came home from work that day, I ran up to her..... "Hey ma, isn't it cool."
If history teaches us anything it's that eventually down the line I'm going to destroy something my mom cherishes, and make it pretty.....again. So if you need me to destroy a loved ones garden or rip up your kid's homework to make a sculpture, give me a call. I like what I do. (and my mom can testify)

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my flowery pool, but check out my degree project book.
